Hannah Coates is a current graphic design BFA student at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. She received her AFA from Harford Community College in Bel Air, MD. Hannah is originally from Baltimore City, MD, and credits the city as a major contributor to her love of art. She credits her parents as an influence in her creativity and success as well.
Primarily working digitally using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Hannah enjoys helping build brands through designing logos, business collateral, branded items, and advertising. The most intriguing aspect of her work is her creative use of typography and color.
Hannah has been featured in two online publications, Voyage Baltimore and Canvas Rebel, where she spoke about her journey as a non-traditional student and her experience within the graphic design field. She is also the recipient of Harford Community College’s 2021 Juror’s Choice Award for her photography series "Graffiti Beauty".
In her free time, Hannah enjoys going to see live music, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family, loved ones, and her cat.
